This was one I made for a very special person, so there was no design brief, she said to do whatever I wanted as it was chocolate and carrot cake with a lots of nutella and a lots of feathers.
After making the bottom cake (pink and black) I wanted to do something with feathers and something that really represented her as person.
The designed I created was an 10 inch round chocolate cake and an 6 inch carrot cake. On the cake I stick the back feathers on the side and the pink feathers on the top of the cake. On the bottom cake I made some black strips and I added some edible diamonds just to make it funky.
I felt it really conveyed her bright, cheerful yet stylish pernonalilty, and she LOVED it!!
